The Junior Auxiliary of Tupelo is pleased to offer the Margaret Gardner Memorial Scholarship on behalf of our chapter of Junior Auxiliary. Margaret Gardner was a student at the University of Mississippi when she was involved in a fatal accident while volunteering at a charity walk-a-thon. This scholarship is named for Margaret to honor her commitment to her family and friends and her passion for community service.
The Margaret Gardner Scholarship awards range from $250-$5,000 and are based on financial need and merit. We are proud to award approximately $25,000 annually to students at Tupelo and Lee County schools.
Please submit the following with your application to jatupscholarship@gmail.com no later than Friday, February 7, 2025 (incomplete applications will not be considered):
- Resume
- Essay titled “My Goals for College and How I Plan to Achieve Those Goals.”
- Official transcript and ACT/SAT scores
- Copies of most recent federal income tax returns of those who contribute to your financial support. Include all copies even if returns are filed separately.
A committee will review your application and an interview may be requested.
